About Savor

Savor is a social cooking app that helps friends and family cook the same meal together, even when they live hundreds of miles apart.

Why Savor exists

Friendships get harder to maintain once everyone scatters across different cities. Group chats stay busy while the time spent together quietly disappears. Cooking is one of the few activities that still works at a distance: everyone has a kitchen, everyone has to eat, and a shared recipe gives a call a reason to last two hours instead of ten minutes.

The coordinating is what makes those nights fall apart: picking a date that works across time zones, agreeing on a dish, making sure everyone shows up with the right ingredients. Savor does that work for the group so the night actually happens.

How the service works

  1. A host creates a group and invites friends with a join link. Groups can be long-distance or in-person.
  2. Everyone votes on the recipes they want to cook and the dates they are free. Savor handles the time-zone math.
  3. Savor confirms the plan and sends the recipe, the cookware list, and a grocery list scaled to the group.
  4. The group cooks together on the chosen night, following the same steps over a video call or around one table.

Members can also text Savor for recipes, unit conversions, grocery lists, and details about their groups, and they receive a pre-release recipe card by mail each month.

Who we are

Savor is built and run by a small team, and membership is what keeps it running. The first month is free, and after that membership is $5 per month with no contract and cancellation at any time.

Members trust us with their phone numbers and mailing addresses, so we treat that data conservatively. We do not sell personal information, agent transcripts expire after 90 days, and the details are written out in the privacy policy.
