The simple version
A Savor group replaces the scheduling poll and recipe thread while keeping reminders in one shared plan. The host offers a few dates and recipes before sending one invite. Friends then rank their choices before the host confirms the night.
1. Prepare the group details
Sign in to Savor and open Create Group. Your friends add their details and rank the choices before joining. Start with enough context for everyone to understand the group.
A recognizable name
Choose a name your friends will understand when the invite opens, such as “Sunday Pasta Club” or “Dinner with the Nelsons.”
Your host details
Check the host address and time zone. Savor uses them to organize the group and deliver the host's recipe card.
Useful Notes
Use group Notes for details members need after joining. Put dietary needs and kitchen limitations in the invite message. Add the FaceTime plan there too so friends see it before voting.
2. Add dates friends can rank
Add two to five dates. Two or three realistic options usually make the decision easier than a long list. Include a specific start time for each choice.
Enter each option in the host's saved time zone. Savor displays the voting experience using each friend's saved time zone and handles the conversion for cooks in different places.
3. Choose up to three Savor recipes
Add recipes directly from Savor so friends compare complete choices in one place. Each option includes the ingredients and cookware guidance alongside its timing and step-by-step instructions.
- Check the tools
Choose recipes everyone can make with the cookware in their kitchen.
- Compare the time
Recipes with hands-off cooking time leave more room to catch up.
- Note the swaps
Put agreed dietary substitutions in Notes before friends choose.
4. Create the group and share one invite
Select Create Group, then copy the Savor invite link. Send that same link to every friend. The group page holds both the scheduling poll and recipe ballot.
Message to send
“Join our Savor group and rank the recipes and dates by [deadline]. Move any date you cannot make to Unavailable. We will use FaceTime. Please note [dietary or kitchen details].”
5. What friends do after opening the link
01
Open the invite
Follow the single Savor link sent by the host.
02
Sign in
Create or access a Savor account to open the join form.
03
Add your details
Confirm the phone number and address Savor will use. Check the saved time zone too.
04
Rank the recipes
Use the arrow buttons to order the recipe choices, with #1 as the favorite.
05
Rank the dates
Use the arrow buttons to order the dates and move impossible choices to Unavailable.
06
Join the group
Select Join group after your details and both rankings are complete. If you are not an active Savor member, finish membership signup and checkout. Savor joins you to the group after checkout succeeds.
6. Follow the votes in Savor
As friends join, the host can review Recipe Votes and Date Votes on the group page. Follow up with any invited friends who have not joined yet. Joining submits both rankings. Once the group has weighed in, Savor shows the leading choices in one place and the night is ready to confirm.
