Start after everyone has voted
Once friends have joined the Savor group and ranked the choices, the host turns those votes into one confirmed plan. From there, everyone shops from the same recipe and opens the same instructions. Then they cook together from their own kitchens.
1. Review the group votes
Open the Savor group and compare Recipe Votes with Date Votes. Savor uses those rankings and each friend's Unavailable choices to determine the winners. If the results reveal a date conflict, coordinate with the group and adjust the options before confirming.
2. Confirm the winning plan
Select Confirm Group when everyone is ready. Savor automatically locks the winning recipe plus the date and start time. Confirmation closes voting and establishes the final plan for the whole group.
Savor sends the final plan and shopping information through each cook's enabled notifications. Each cook can return to the confirmed group whenever they need the recipe or ingredients. The cookware guidance and cooking steps stay there too.
3. Get every kitchen ready through Savor

Use the confirmed Savor group as the source of truth. It keeps the recipe and group Notes alongside the scheduled date and time.

Review the categorized ingredient list and buy the exact amount your kitchen needs.
Check cookware and steps
Set out the listed tools and scan the instructions. Watch the overview video when the recipe includes one.
If the group agreed on a substitution, keep it in the group Notes so every cook sees it before starting. That prevents one kitchen from discovering the change halfway through the recipe.
4. Start the call outside Savor
Savor organizes the cooking plan. At the confirmed start time, the host begins FaceTime or whatever calling app the group normally uses.
Keep the call on one device and the Savor recipe on another when possible. A laptop can hold the call while a phone stays near the ingredients.
5. Cook the same Savor recipe together
Everyone follows the confirmed recipe in Savor. Each kitchen can move at its own pace. Let the slowest cook set the pace at natural checkpoints. The group might pause after prep or while a sauce starts, then again when the dish goes into the oven or rests.
Join the call
The host starts FaceTime or the group's preferred video call.

Savor members can use Text Savor for substitutions or conversions. It can also answer quick cooking questions.

6. Use Text Savor when a cook gets stuck
Savor members can text for help with a missing ingredient or measurement conversion. They can also ask a cooking question. That gives one cook a quick answer while the call keeps moving. For anything involving a hot pan or knife, pause first and give the kitchen your full attention.
7. Make the next night easy
Before ending the call, decide who should host next. Gather a few recipe ideas too. The next host can create a new Savor group with fresh choices and send one invite through the same familiar process.
